JOSPHAT NJERU
(BRANCH MANAGER)

Josphat Njeru is an accomplished microfinance and credit professional with over 8 years’ experience in lending to the micro sector. Previously, he worked for Kenya Women Microfinance Bank, Faulu Microfinance Bank and Musoni Microfinance.

Josphat is currently seeking CPA certification and pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration at Kenya Methodist University.

As the first Branch Manager of the bank’s first branch, Josphat’s main responsibility is driving the bank into profitability.

JOSEPH NDUNG'U
(OPERATIONS MANAGER)

Joseph Ndung'u is the Head of Operations, he is among the pioneers of Choice Microfinance Bank. He has over five years’ professional working experience in finance and operation where he has gained vast experience.

Joseph, holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a certificate of proficiency in Insurance from College of Insurance. He has also pursued Certified Public Accountancy.

He has been involved in various projects including implementation of Core Banking, Visa ATM card partnership, mobile banking and SMS banking.

Joseph provides leadership and alignment in establishing and maintaining a strong culture of adherence to existing policies, procedures and controls across the banks operations.

GEORGE MUTINDA
(I.C.T.)

George Mutinda is an expert in IT with over 12 years’ experience in the field. He has experience in systems support, networks, databases and systems development having worked with several financial entities.

George is a certified Microsoft Systems Engineer, Oracle Certified Professional and Network Plus. He is also a graduate of Strathmore Business School Leadership Program. He is currently pursuing CPA (K).

As part of the bank’s pioneer team, George is tasked with driving the bank’s ICT strategy towards digital banking.

KENNETH NJOROGE
(FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION)

Kenneth Njoroge is an accomplished professional with over 9 years working experience. He has vast exposure in finance, audit, risk and compliance, project management and credit control drawn for working with Ernst & Young, Micro Enterprises Support Programme Trust ( MESPT) among other reputable entities.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Business Administration degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology where he is also pursuing his Master of Science degree in Project Management. He is a CPA (K) holder and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Kenneth is responsible for driving the bank’s overall economic strategy.

FAITH KOSILBET
(HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT)

Faith Kosilbet is a seasoned HR professional with almost 2 decade’s experience in HR related engagements. Previously, she worked for Family Bank of Kenya rising through the ranks to becoming the Manager, Human Resource and Administration.

Faith holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from Institute of Human Resource Management, undertook a course in Transformative Leadership for Growth at Daystar University, undertook a course in HR Planning and Talent Development at Kenya Institute of Bankers, Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration from USIU-Kenya and is currently pursuing Masters’ of Science degree in Human Resource Development at Moi University. Faith is a practicing member of IHRM.

At Choice Microfinance Bank, Faith is responsible for human capital development and talent acquisition.

MICHAEL MUTINDA
(RISK AND COMPLIANCE)

Michael Mutinda is the Head of Risk and Compliance. He has over five years’ professional working experience in Customer Service, Operations and Risk & Compliance where he has gained vast experience.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA).

He is responsible for all risk management and mitigation functions of the bank. He ensures that bank maintains adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements established and which the bank is expected to maintain.

GEORGE MWANGI
(INTERNAL AUDITOR)

George Mwangi is the internal auditor. He has several years of experience in internal and external audit.

George is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Moi University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, from the University of Nairobi.
